Cherries GALORE! A Review of The Jenny Dress by PUG

Another new dress I have been stockpiling over Winter and waiting for Spring to hit in Australia!

Pinup Girl Clothing stock some gorgeous dresses but I am always been hesitant to buy as they (previously) had high shipping charges and it was too much to add onto an already high priced dress, and then have it arrive and it may not fit.  BUT they recently announced a flat shipping rate of $28 Internationally AND they had 20% off so the Jenny Cherry dress instantly went into the cart.

As a mini review of the dress, if you are going to order one...order a size up.  I read reviews and emailed PUG Customer Service and went with their advice.  They do run very small.  The bodice is also boned and it sits wrong on my chest so the front kind of 'balloons' out and makes my girls look even more HUGE.  I think I may get this remedied by having the boning taken out by a tailor.  Because the bodice sits out and it sightly too big around my armpits, I can't wear it without a bolero.  But I can kind of live with that.  Cause it's just too damn cute.
The matching belt was also a few notch holes too big for my waist so I had too substitute with another red belt.

And my Irregular Choice Thumper shoes just looked ridiculously cute.
Seriously.  I. JUST. CAN'T. EVEN.

People take sneaky photos of my shoes when they think I'm not looking.  People, I am ALWAYS paying attention.

Excuse me, but can we just sit here a little bit and look at the marvel that is my hair?!

Trashy Diva Matching Nails

This manicure I did especially to match my Walk in the Park dress I featured a few days ago.  a-England Camelot as the base, stamped with China Glaze 2030 and a coat of Femme Fatale's Eventide on the ring finger.  I am down to my last few shaped rhinestones but managed to scrape up some little orange flowers.

Super blingy under artificial lights!

Trashy Diva Dress and New Hair!

You have no idea how much I have been looking forward to Spring.  I have so many new dresses and I haven't been able to wear them for MONTHS!

And yes, I have gone back to being a Brunette.  I think everyone I know has breathed a sigh of relief....my immediate family and friends don't take change too well.  It still has a hint of Cherry in the sun, which I am quite happy with.

This dress is from Trashy Diva and is a singlet style bodice with V-neck.  Unfortunately this V-neck makes my boobs almost plunge into your eyeball, so I am destined to always wear a cover up ......or take it to the tailor and get a piece of material sewn in.

I really  must try and figure out how to use Photoshop.  Damn wrinkles.

Trasy Diva & Polkadots

Today's lopsided photos come courtesy today of The Sexy Man and Instagram.  ( @konadlicious )

Hurried morning photos were the only ones I got of this outfit and it's a pity cause I looked rather gorgeous.  Altho the 50's suit my body shape better, I do love a good 40's outfit and an excuse to layer on the Bakelite and Victory rolls.

And matchy matchy nails!  OPI Red Fortune Cookie is my most used Vintage shade of Red.

Exploring Melbourne

If you follow me on Instagram, @konadlicious, you will have been bombarded last weekend with Melbourne photos.  My sisters flew down from Queensland for a long weekend and we spent a girly day shopping and exploring alleyways in the Melbourne CBD.

This laneway is in Bourke St Mall.

Sheesh, my boobs look MASSIVE in this photo.

Bernie Dexter Dress, Vintage cowboy boots, Target cardi and Trashy Diva cat eye sunglasses.
Vintage belt, handbag and Bakelite.

This little alcove obviously comes alive at night time......it reeked of urine and used condoms.  Poo!

My favourite place to go in the CBD is this little arcade.  I can't remember the name, all I know it by is Gog and Magog Arcade!  Mum used to take us here when we were little and the architecture hasn't changed.  This little arcade is fabulous!  It even has an Op shop alongside boutique places, jewellery stores and yummy cafes.

I Love Melbourne lollies from Suga!

Matroushka Dolls from Russia.

Metal Couture Jewellery.  The Sexy Man was given this artist's business card (by me) as a hint.

Yum Cha for lunch in Chinatown.

My favourite graffiti laneway, in Chinatown.

And of course, a trip to Melbourne would not be complete without going into the HUGE DAISO store!  $2.80 EVERYTHING!! Yay!

Serve yourself froyo to reward ourselves for all our hard slogging.

I have a few more photos for you next post.
